Congressmen Who Don’t Understand or Don’t Care About the Constitution

Congressman Phil Hare (D-IL) doesn’t worry about the Constitution. He also says he read the health care reform bill three times! Funny how he really had no idea what that would have entailed and completely lied about reading the bill. He then proceeded to not really have any idea about the differences between the Constitution of The United States of America and the Declaration of Independence.

You can fit our entire Declaration of Independence and US Constitution, the founding and most meaningful documents of our country, in a pocket sized booklet 40 pages long, which Rep Hare (D-IL) doesn’t have time to read. Rep Hare (D-IL) does, however, miraculously find time to read the entire 2,400 pages of the health care reform bill THREE TIMES for a total of 7,200 pages!! Even after supposedly reading the bill 3 times, he has no clue what is in it and believes that every person in America will be covered by it. The morons that represent some of us!

These would all be reasonably prevalent mistakes for the average individual, but for a Congressman of the US? Not to understand or care about the Constitution? Not to know the difference between the Constitution and The Declaration of Independence? Unacceptable! I am sure it is rare, but every Senator and every Congressman should have to know the basic ins and outs of both founding documents long before they get to vote on the floor of Congress.

Rep. Lobiando (R-NJ) also has no clue about the Constitution. Thankfully one young Tea Party enthusiast had the guts to stand up to him at a town hall meeting.

Republican, Democrat or Independent, you all have to play by the same rules. No double standards here. At least Rep Lobiando (R-NJ) simply shuts his mouth when confronted and then very respectfully thanks the gentleman who embarrassed him at the end. Unfortunately some morons in the crowd were trying to embarrass the person who was requesting, with great passion, that the Congressman actually learn the Constitution.

One redeeming quality that Rep Lobiando (R-IL) does have after his Constitution snafu is that he did vote against the unconstitutional health care reform bill both times it passed through the House of Rep’s. Here is a picture of him in awe of the size of the bill.

Congressman Pete Stark (D-CA) is blatantly honest about his feelings on the Federal Government at a town hall meeting. He said that he essentially thinks that the Federal Gov’t can do just about anything in this country.

He seems to have no problem with the Federal Government performing unconstitutional actions.
